The Pfossental Valley is a 15 km narrow side valley of Schnalstal Valley, which leads into the Texelgruppe Nature Park.
Initially, an asphalt road leads through the lonely valley to the picturesque Vorderkaser mountain dairy and the Jägerrast inn. The Alm-Erlebniswanderweg hiking trail, a section of the Merano High Mountain Trail, starts from there. At the head of the valley lie the Eishöfe farms, once the highest permanent settlements in the Alps.
Other hiking trails lead to the Stettiner Hütte mountain hut, up to 3000 m high peaks of the Texelgruppe Nature Park and to the Passeiertal Valley. The Pfossental Valley is teeming with wildlife – ideal for observing wildlife together with a hunting guide.
