Untermais Train Station

The historic train station in Maia Bassa offers regional connections and serves as an important transport hub for visitors and locals.

Merano-Maia Bassa railway station is located in Untermais on the Bolzano–Merano railway line. It was opened in 1881, when Untermais was still an independent municipality, before being incorporated into Merano in 1923. The station building is largely in its original architectural condition and has been a listed historical monument since 2004. Today, the station offers regional trains and is an important hub for locals, commuters, and tourists traveling between Merano and the surrounding area.

Public transport
We recommend using public transport for your journey. You can easily reach the Maia Bassa railway station from the Merano railway station to Maia Bassa railway station. You can also take bus no. 211 or no. 212 from the city centre to the "Maia Bassa" bus stop.
Description to arrive at destination
From the town centre you can reach the the Maia Bassa railway station via the marked cycle path. Look out for the small red cycle path signs.
Parking
Directly at the station, there are easily accessible disabled parking spaces.

There are bicycle racks at the entrance. Take care not to park bicycles and e-scooters carelessly. They can pose a danger to blind and visually impaired people, as they create obstacles to safely walking along paths and finding entrances. People in wheelchairs and parents with pushchairs can also be hindered by carelessly parked bicycles. Please use the bicycle parking spaces provided.
