Mair Thomas - mountain guide

Born in 1987 in Merano and raised on a small farm, Thomas quickly found his love for nature and the local mountains. So the passion for mountaineering grabbed him early and from then on never let go.  Since then, he has always been on the lookout for new adventures and experiences in the mountains.
In the course of time he was able to climb some classic routes in the Dolomites and difficult north faces of the Alps. Of course, he was also drawn to the wider world, including trekking trips in Nepal and Myanmar or climbing trips to Chile and Ecuador.
In 2019, he was able to turn his beloved hobby into a profession by completing the mountain guide exam and since then he has been trying to share this enthusiasm. Since 2020, he has been the training manager of the mountain rescue service in the Alpenverein Südtirol and is thus responsible for the technical training of all mountain rescuers in the country.
