Gastronomy in Schnalstal Valley

From pizzerias to gourmet restaurants

The restaurants in Schnalstal Valley serve South Tyrolean specialties such as Knödelsuppe (dumpling soup), Hirschgulasch (venison goulash) and Kaiserschmarrn (traditional pancakes), as well as Mediterranean and international dishes.

Several mountain inns in Schnalstal Valley have received the Real Quality in the Mountains award, including the Rableid Alm mountain hut in Val di Fosse/Pfossental Valley, the Finailhof and the Schöne Aussicht mountain hut in Maso Corto/Kurzras.

Since 2014, the Oberraindlhof restaurant was even awarded top honors by the restaurant guide Gault & Millau each year.
