Discover the Schnalstal Glacier World on snow shoes
Group ascent with the Schnalstal Valley Glacier Cable Car to 3,200 metres. We’ll cross the Hochjochferner accompanied by a mountain guide, experience the glacier in all its beauty, and learn many interesting and historical things. At the end of the glacier there is an ice cave at 2,800 m. After exploring the cave and taking a rest in this solitary alpine world, the path continues to the Schöne Aussicht Refuge and afterwards we descend to the Teufelsegghütte Mountain Hut. The Roter Kofel chair lift brings us back to Maso Corto/Kurzras around 3:30 p.m.
Walking time: approx. 5-6 hours including breaks
Difference in altitude: around 300 m in the ascent and 1,000 m in the descent (about 8 km distance)
Number of participants: minimum 2 people (participation from 14 years)
Requirement: good physical condition
