Gasthof Jocher

Jocher stands at 1,735 m amid the alpine meadows of Vigiljoch, just below St Vigilius church. Getting there is part of the experience: from the cable car station in Lana town centre, it takes 6 minutes to reach Vigiljoch, then about 50 minutes on foot or 15 minutes by chairlift plus another 10 minutes’ walk. Ideal for lunch or a South Tyrolean snack, especially when the air up here is cooler than in the valley. After its careful renovation and reopening in 2024, the sunny terrace and cosy parlours welcome guests with dishes by David and Sonja, centred on local produce and what nature provides.
