The Ultental Valley is characterized by a northern and a southern ridge. Together, the two mountain ranges combine to form a varied ski touring area.
A popular ski tour route runs up to the 2,658 meter Mutegg mountain and can be undertaken until late spring. There is a separate ascent track here, which is open depending on snow conditions. Fascinating panoramic views over the Ötztal Alps and the Dolomites open up from the summit.
Every Thursday evening the slopes at the Schwemmalm are reserved for ski tourers from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. During these evenings you can climb the prescribed route along the slope and through the forest. At least one restaurant remains open longer on these evenings and invites guests to enjoy a cozy get-together.
Attention: except on Thursdays from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. the ascent over the ski slopes of the Schwemmalm is always forbidden to ski mountaineers and tourers!
