Authors in Merano in German language - Meeting with Gertraud Klemm

Gertraud Klemm is an Austrian novelist and essayist. After studying biology, she initially worked in research before devoting herself entirely to writing. Through her novels and essays, she has established herself as a distinctive voice in contemporary literature. With incisive, sharp commentary and often a subtle sense of humour, she examines social power dynamics, gender roles and feminist issues. On this evening, she will discuss how our society can be conceived as more just and free – and what paths lead there.
