Hildegard, die Visionärin - Ildegarda, la visionaria
Temporary exhibition.
In the writings and visions of Hildegard of Bingen, Bonn artist Marianne Pitzen discovered that Hildegard saw a female image of God in the figure of wisdom, Sophia.
On display are three-dimensional installations and replicas by artist and founder of the Frauenmuseum Bonn Marianne Pitzen. These are replicas of artistic works from the convent workshops, of which only a few copies remained after a fire, and writings on natural history and medicine with photographs by Marlies Obier from Siegen, who studied German, theology and history.
