Concert: Alle Menschen werden Brüder
Orchestra of the Academy for Early Music Bruneck 2024 under the direction of Maxim Emelyanychev, works by Haydn, Wranitzky and Beethoven. By donation.
In 1824, Beethoven completed his ninth and final symphony, for the first time with a choral movement based on the words of Friedrich Schiller's ode "To Joy". Today, the symphony is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is used time and again to remind us of the values of peaceful, just coexistence in Europe. The Bruneck 2024 Academy of Early Music Orchestra aims to unite young musicians from crisis-ridden regions, especially Ukraine, with colleagues from many European countries and enable them to come together musically. Music can and should promote cultural exchange and connect people across borders. The orchestra is conducted by Russian fortepianist Maxim Emelyanychev, who also plays a piano concerto by Beethoven as a soloist. Born in 1988, Emelyanychev now conducts the most important orchestras in the world. As a soloist, pianist and conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the ensemble Il Pomo d'Oro, he is regularly honoured with international awards. Emelyanychev already conducted the orchestra of the Academy of Ancient Music in 2018.
