The apartment "Lichtenegg" is located in the most beautiful villa area of Merano, in Obermais. The villas here have all large gardens with old mediterranean trees and a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. Our apartment is on the 3th floor of one of these villas, with a beautiful terrace and balcony, where you can enjoy a sundowner or breakfast with a view of the magnificent nature.
The 3 room apartment has been completely renovated and is perfect for 4 people. 2 large bedrooms with double beds (which can be separated if necessary), a well-equipped kitchen and a great bathroom with rain shower make a stay particularly pleasant.
There is a bus stop right in front of the house. The buses are heading directly to the centre of Merano or directly to the mountains (cable car station of Merano 2000). So you can leave your car at the parking slot and don't have to worry about parking.
Hikers can start directly from the villa to the Waalweg of Schenna or to the Sissiweg to the botanical gardens of Trautmansdorff.
The Brunnenplatz is the centre of Obermais and can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. There you can find everything you need in one place: Bank, post office, pharmacy, supermarket, bakery, bars, newspaper shop, butcher's shop and fruit and vegetable shop, gelateria, pasticeria, restaurant, pizzeria and bars. From here it is a 10 minute walk along the promenades to the centre of Merano and the arcades.
