The Watles mountain is one of the sunniest ski areas in the entire Alpine region and is part of the Ortler Ski Arena association of 15 ski areas in South Tyrol. Watles features 4 ski slopes, representing in total 18 km of slopes, as well as a 4 km long toboggan run and a Nordic Ski and Biathlon Center located in Slingia/Schlinig.
Snowshoe hikers and ski tour enthusiasts will find challenging tours on the Watles mountain. The paths are highly varied, with some being quite easy and recreational tours, while others lead up to the steep summits. Some lead over unspoiled meadows and forests, others towards active Alpine huts, such as the Höferalm alpine pasture. Ski mountaineers will find challenging tours, as Watles offers numerous high mountain trails and a special downhill slope for ski tours.
