Moderate hike with beautiful views of Prissiano and its sights (for example Castel Katzenzungen, Wehrburg Castle).
From the car park in Prissian village centre (near the Raiffeisen bank) head right over the old wood-covered stone bridge and approx. 500 m along the main road as far as the St. Martin's Church. Here turn left down to Castel Katzenzungen. Head through under the canopy of leaves of the largest and probably oldest vine in the world, the Versoaln vine, along trail no. 17 steeply downhill to the bridge over the stream; on the other side head uphill again and turn right when you reach the tarmac road. Follow the road to the right (way marked no. 2) and when you have almost reached the highest point of the climb, turn right on what is known as the “Roter Weg” (red path, marked 2B) which takes you around the “Gemolbichl” in approx. 25 minutes, slightly uphill, with wonderful views of Prissian. Now continue back to the left on the tarmac road and then straight on (trail no. 1), initially steep then only slightly uphill between the houses and, keeping left, past the bus stop back into the centre of Prissiano.
