The Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley’s mountain huts have a reputation for fine cuisine and friendly service. The kitchens offer traditional South Tyrolean products, such as Almkaese (farm cheese), vegetables and Bauernspeck (double smoked bacon) and serve local delicacies such as dumplings (Knödel) and apfelstrudel on sunny terraces.
