The 360° panoramic view from the Laugenspitze summit is breathtaking, with a high-altitude lake nestled in the plateau between its twin peaks.
To the South, the Brenta mountains and the Presanella glacier can be seen, while to the West there is the Val d’Ultimo/Ultental Valley and the Ortler massif. The Ötzal Alps and the Texelgruppe Nature Park lie to the North, and the Zillertal Alps and the Dolomites in the East complete this stunning panorama. The Laugenspitze summit can be reached from the Gampenpass mountain pass (Passo Palade in Italian), from the village of Senale/Unsere liebe Frau or across the Aler Alm mountain pasture in Proves/Proveis.
LaugenRind Cattle
The EU LEADER development program supports local agriculture in several European mountain communities. The LaugenRind Alpine meat label is the trademark of specific cattle indigenous to South Tyrol, grey cattle in particular. Stringent compliance with this designation is required, and livestock are reared on the mountain pastures in accordance with strictly defined standards.
