Surrounded by larch forests and pastures at an altitude of 1,600 m, the
Felixer Weiher lake measures about 200 m in circumference, and is up to 3 m deep. This enchanting pristine lake is about an hour’s walk from the village of San Felice/St. Felix and is easily reachable along the sign-posted path.
Teeming with fish in a protected nature reserve, the Felixer Weiher is also a popular swimming destination on hot summer days. An educational nature trail around the lake provides information about the local flora and fauna. Walking around the lake, visitors may encounter wild deer or discover rare flowers and wild mushrooms. There are several refreshment stops, such as the Felixer Alm mountain hut (bearing the
Real Quality in the Mountains award) and the Waldruhe restaurant.
