Analogue Photofestival, Ritten – Quiet Observations

The exhibition features a selection of analogue photographs by the Bolzano-born artist and photographer, who devoted more than five decades to photography

On the occasion of the first edition of the ANALOGUE PHOTOFESTIVAL (3–14 June 2026), taking place at several locations throughout South Tyrol, the old railway station building in Oberbozen presents a photographic exhibition by Oswald Kofler.

The exhibition Silent Observations features a selection of analogue photographs by the Bolzano-born artist and photographer, who devoted more than five decades to photography. With a subtle and poetic eye, Kofler captured people, landscapes, and quiet details of everyday life. His black-and-white photographs in particular are distinguished by their precision, atmosphere, and graphic clarity.

Since childhood, the Ritten plateau was an important retreat and place of work for Kofler — a close connection that is powerfully reflected in the photographs on display.

The exhibition is open until 8 November, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm. The opening will take place on 5 June at 11 am.
