Chanterelles, porcini mushrooms, and others present delightful gifts in the summer months, provided by our forests. To ensure that ecological balance is not compromised during harvesting, it is essential to proceed with care and consideration.
Therefore, the collection of mushrooms in South Tyrol is regulated by state law and is subject to the following regulations:
Mushrooms may only be collected on even days between 7 am and 7 pm.
Residents of the municipality are allowed to collect up to 2 kg of mushrooms per day per person.
Non-residents of the municipality are allowed to collect up to 1 kg of mushrooms per day per person.
Mushrooms must be roughly cleaned at the collection site and transported in a sturdy, open, and well-ventilated container.
The use of rakes and hoes is prohibited.
Non-residents of the municipality must pay a fee of €8 per day per person for mushroom collection. This fee is deposited into the municipality's postal checking account. In some municipalities in the Passeiertal, approval can also be obtained online.
