To the ancient larches of Platt

Directions

From the village square in Platt, follow the main road towards Pfelders (trail no. 6) until just after the fire station. There, the trail turns left an leads you uphill through forests and meadows. Always follow the signs for trial no. 6, which takes you through varied forest sections an past traditional farmsteads. After about one hour, you turn onto trail no. 10B.

After another approx. 15 minutes, you reach the ancient larches of Platt.

Here you can enjoy a beautiful view of Farmazon Farm and the surrounding mountains.

The return initially takes you uphill for a short stretch and then mostly downhill along trail no. 10 back towards Platt.

The trail is not suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.

Recommended equipment

Wear sturdy hiking boots, appropriate clothing for the weather and bring sufficient water and provisions.

Description to arrive at destination

• Coming from Meran towards the Passeiertal Valley, take the Jaufenstraße SS44 to St. Leonhard, continue towards Moos, take on the Timmelsjochstraße and continue on the SP114 to Platt

• Coming from the Timmelsjoch, take on the Timmelsjochstraße to Moos and continue on the SP114 to Platt

• Coming from the Jaufenpass towards St. Leonhard, take the Jaufenstraße SS44, continue towards Moos on the Timmelsjochstraße and continue on the SP114 to Platt
