Hotel Turmwies is a small, family-run hotel located in the heart of the village of Dorf Tirol. Boasting a quiet and unique setting, it offers an exclusive selection of just 13 rooms, each of which provides a breathtaking view of the South Tyrolean mountains. Our hotel is the ideal starting point for invigorating walks in the surrounding area or for exciting mountain hikes in the Texel Group Nature Park.

Every morning, we treat you to a hearty breakfast made up of locally sourced produce. Wake up to homemade jams, fresh bread rolls, organic free-range eggs, brioches with a variety of fillings, fresh fruit, homemade pork specialities such as cured ham (‘Speck’) or smoked sausages (‘Kaminwurzen’), the irresistible aroma of freshly brewed coffee and much more.

In the evening, junior host and head chef Michael Prantl invites you to indulge in a delectable 4-course meal in one of the two traditional parlour rooms, in the dining room – newly renovated in 2021 – or even on the outside terrace when the weather is at its finest. Locally sourced produce and sustainability are hugely important to Michael, as is having a close, trusting relationship with his partners. The combination of Michael’s culinary prowess and his true passion for top-quality ingredients gives his dishes real pizzazz.

In summer, chill out on our sunbathing lawn, go for a dip in our solar-heated outdoor swimming pool or relax in our outdoor jacuzzi surrounded by the breathtaking South Tyrolean mountains. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.

We also have a small and cozy spa area featuring an aromatherapy steam bath, an experience shower and a Finnish sauna for 2-4 people.
