Circular route "Gilfweg"
A family-friendly nature experience with a waterfall, rest areas and a wooden marble run
Directions
You start at the bus stop "St. Martin, Schwimmbad", cross the stream and follow trail no. 1A to the Haselstaude inn. Here the Gilf Waterfall Circular Trail begins: keep left and follow trail no. 1C to the Gilf Waterfall (approx. 15 minutes). Take a moment to enjoy the soothing sound of the flowing water. Then walk back about 100 m and continue along trail no. 1C to a quiet forest clearing with a wooden marble run (approx. 10 minutes) – a highlight for both children and adults. The wooden marbles are available at the Haselstaude inn, in all tourist offices in the valley or directly along the trail at the marble vending machine (2 € coins only). Continue along trail no. 1C to the next junction and take trail no. 1A back to the Haselstaude inn. From there, return to St. Matin along the familiar route.
The trail is not suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.
Recommended equipment
War sturdy hiking boots, appropriate clothing for the weather and bring sufficient water and provisions.

• Coming from Meran towards the Passeiertal Valley, take the JaufenstraßeSS44 to St. Martin
• Coming from the Jaufenpass towards Meran, take the Jaufenstraße SS44 to St. Martin
• Coming from the Timmelsjoch towards Moos, continue on the Timmelsjochstraße towards St. Leonhard on the same road, then continue towards Meran on the Jaufenstaße SS44 to St.Martin

• Free public parking at the swimming pool in St. Martin
• Free public parking at the fairground in St. Martin
• Free public parking with parking disc (max. 120 minutes) in the underground garage of the village square "Dorfhaus" in St. Martin
