The Merano Tourist Office promotes tourism in Merano/Meran and at the same time contributes to the development of the town. A major contributor to Merano’s economy, the Merano Tourist Office headquarters are in Freiheitsstraße street – in the heart of the town’s tourist hub.
Founded back in 1855, after Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad/Czech Republic) the Merano Tourist Office rank as the second oldest in Europe. The administration’s highly motivated marketing team works in close coordination with the Tourist Office’s administration an the Info Point. Merano Tourist Office employees also assist visitors in person while liaising with local businesses, including hoteliers and restauranteurs. In order to promote and conserve Merano’s position as a premium tourist destination, new strategies and initiatives are constantly being developed – expanding Merano’s competitive advantages.
