The leisurely walks along the
ancient irrigation channels (called Waalwege in German) have magnificent views of the valley below and the
Parcines waterfall, which can be reached by shuttle or on foot.
Fit and energetic hikers will be keen to tackle the
Merano High Mountain Trail (Meraner Höhenweg) and the
Spronserseen lakes while mountaineers can choose from the thirteen 3,000-m summits to climb in the Texelgruppe Nature Park. Thanks to its relatively mild climate, many of the hiking trails in Parcines remain open from spring to late autumn.
