The Töll Hydroelectric Power Plant was built in 1891 and was the first large-scale hydroelectric power plant in South Tyrol. Today, this historic facility is protected as a cultural heritage site.
The guided tour starts at the water intake in Töll and follows the Waalweg to the hydroelectric power plant. Along the way, participants learn how the water intake, the desander, and the headrace canal work, and how the power of water is harnessed to generate electricity.
