Demanding alpine hike from Pfelders to the Spronser Lakes with descent via Oberkaser mountain hut and Hochmuth back to Merano.
The Spronser Lakes form the heart of the Texel Group Nature Park and are the highest alpine lake plateau in South Tyrol. Ten glacial lakes lie between 2,117 m and 2,589 m, creating one of the most impressive high-mountain landscapes in the Alps.
This demanding circular hike starts in Pfelders and leads over Falschnal Pass and Spronser Joch to the vast lake plateau, returning via Oberkaser Mountain Hut and Hochmuth.
Sure-footedness and good physical condition are required.
