Buses and trains: comfortable and eco-friendly transport in Lana and surroundings

As a region in the mountains, South Tyrol relies on the smooth running of public transport and has therefore created an integrated transport system. Local public transport is mainly provided by trains, buses and shuttle services. Mountain railways, cable cars and gondolas also play an important role in the mountains.

Guests can obtain information on current timetables and local public transport services at all railway stations, in the information offices of SAD Nahverkehr AG or at www.suedtirolmobil.info.

Transport of animals
The transport of animals is permitted if there is sufficient space and other passengers are not disturbed. Dogs must be kept on a leash, may not occupy seats, and generally must wear a muzzle (exception: guide dogs). Small pets carried in suitable transport containers travel free of charge. Larger animals require a ticket (€2.00 per trip or a maximum of €3.50 per day). These rules apply within South Tyrol and on regional trains up to Trento; separate tariffs apply for the cable cars to Kohlern/Colle, Vöran/Verano and Mölten/Meltina.

Bring your bike
Your bike always by your side, but under certain conditions
On public transport, the carriage of bicycles is subject to a charge and limited for reasons of space and safety. The purchase of tickets does not imply a right for a reservation of places for bikes. In the event of overcrowding, the on-board staff reserves the right to refuse access to bicycles.
