Ice skating in Lana combines winter fun with a beautiful natural setting. The ice rink in the Gaul Gorge is just a few minutes' walk from the village centre and is generally open from October until early March. Surrounded by steep rock faces, children and adults can enjoy skating on the artificial ice rink. Ice skates are available to rent on site.
For a special outdoor experience, head to Schwarze Lacke, a small mountain lake on car-free Mount Vigiljoch above Lana. Idyllically situated in the middle of a forest, the lake can be used for ice skating when the ice is sufficiently thick and the surface has been officially approved for use. Whether it is safe and permitted to step onto the ice depends on current weather and ice conditions.
