From October 2 to November 7, 2026, the interdisciplinary literature festival Sprachspiele/Linguaggi in gioco celebrates its 15th anniversary. In Meran, Lana, and Schenna/Verdins, cultural evenings will take place at various venues, fostering a playful dialogue between the audience and cultural practitioners. The diverse and varied program includes book presentations, readings, and discussions, a performance, concerts and musical accompaniments, a DJ set, and an art exhibition. Free admission.
On Thursday, October 22, from 7:00 PM, a multilingual cultural evening will be held as part of the 15th edition of the festival “SPRACHSPIELE / LINGUAGGI IN GIOCO” at the Public Library kultur.lana.
Culture enthusiasts can look forward to a Gesamtkunstwerk, an encounter with art, literature, and music. The program begins with the vernissage by Bregtje Piva; the exhibition was curated by Helga Pichler. This is followed by the presentation of the cultural magazine and publishing project “More bananas” by Davide Marchi, Alberto Gazzoni, and Andrea Neg-rini. Walter Carber will present his book and perform as DJ Veloziped. In the concluding discussion, the cultural practitioners will meet each other.
The festival is organized and moderated by Sonja Steger. The supporting associations of the festival are the South Tyrolean Association of Women and Men Writers (SAAV) and the ost west club est ovest. It is supported by the Cultural Department of the Province, the Municipality of Meran, and the Sparkasse Foundation.
