What happens when a child suddenly arrives in a tin can? At the open-air theatre in the Kränzelhof in Cermes/Tscherms, Christine Nöstlinger’s "Konrad oder das Kind aus der Konservenbüchse" becomes a story full of humour, surprise and quiet affection.
Berti Bartolotti is chaotic, often orders useless things by post and is completely taken aback when one day a seven-year-old boy is delivered to her home. Konrad is perfectly programmed: polite, tidy and well-behaved. Almost too well-behaved for Berti’s liking. And she does not particularly like children, either. But little by little, an affectionate bond grows between them.
Egon, the neighbouring pharmacist and Berti’s friend, also takes Konrad to heart. Fascinated by the boy’s impeccable manners, he quickly steps into the role of father. Soon, neither of them wants to give Konrad up. But the eerie blue people from the canning factory are already looking for him…
The performance is held in German and is suitable for everyone from 6 to 99 years old.
