Lana boasts
numerous biking routes, ranging from leisurely valley trails, to routes at higher elevations (also good for
e-bikes), and more challenging high Alpine trails. Scenic cycle tracks lead past orchards, and along winding rivers through fertile valleys. Numerous
bike rental facilities are positioned around Lana and in the surrounding area.
For those planning longer bike tours, obtaining a
bikeMobil Card is a must. Car holders enjoy free public transport, plus a one-day bike rental thrown in for good measure. Cycling in Lana and the surrounding area is a user-friendly and varied experience.
Road cyclists pause at rest stops on one of the mountain passes, while
mountain bikers energetically take to the Alpine trails.
E-bikes are on the increase just about everywhere. Family-friendly cycle paths lead from the Vinschgau into the Passeier Valley, past Bozen/Bolzano and further south, to Lake Garda. The routes along the
Etschtal Valley through the orchards, and past the
Falschauer dam are also well frequented.
