The Tschögglberg Hiking Area
The Tschögglberg hiking area with the Salten mountain massif and the mountain pastures of the Merano 2000 recreation area extends from Merano/Meran to Bolzano/Bozen.

The vegetation on the Tschögglberg mountain plateau includes larch forests, fields, rhododendrons and mountain pines. Popular with families and casual hikers, the leisurely hikes across Europe’s largest larch meadow boasts magnificent views of the Rosengarten massif and the Dolomites. The cableway systems in Vilpiano/Vilpian and Postal/Burgstall lead up to the Tschögglberg mountain plateau, without the need for additional Transport.
